Former Moosehead Fuels Carolina Hurricanes to Game 4 Win

The “Dashing Dane” as he was known as here in Halifax with the Mooseheads, Nikolaj Ehlers, last night had an empty-net goal that he shot from behind his own net to seal the deal on the Carolina Hurricanes 5-3 Stanley Cup Final victory over his former Moose coach Dom Ducharme and the Vegas Golden Knights.

Nik also added an assist for 14 points so far in this postseason.

The Canes 37-year-old forward Jordan Staal scored two goals, including the eventual game winner in the third period in Game 4.

For the fourth time in the Stanley Cup Final, a team successfully rallied from a deficit of at least two goals.

Game 5 is Thursday in Raleigh.
