RCMP seek witnesses after cyclist injured in Eastern Passage

The RCMP is looking for witnesses after a collision between an SUV and a modified gas-powered bicycle in Eastern Passage.

According to police, it was around 7:50 p.m. on August 5th at the intersection of Oceanlea Dr. and Shore Rd when the vehicles collided.

The driver of the SUV, a 47-year-old man from Cole Harbour, and his four passengers were not injured.

The cyclist, a youth from Eastern Passage, was hurt and taken to hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing, and investigators are hoping witnesses can help piece together exactly what happened.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to contact RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment at 902-490-5020.
