A Local Halifax Flower Shop Is Closing for Good

A Halifax flower shop that’s been around for decades will close their doors for good at the end of the month. Pilcher’s Flowers & Gifts has been serving Haligonians for 94 years! I remember buying flowers there back in the day for my girlfriend, now wife Roxanne, and also getting flowers for my parent’s graves over the years. Pilcher’s helped many family occasions over the years from weddings and graduations to birthdays and anniversaries. They made this statement on their Facebook:
“It is with mixed emotions that we announce we will be retiring and closing our family owned and operated flower shop. Our last day will be September 28, 2024.
After 3 generations of keeping Halifax in bloom, we are excited to start a new chapter in our lives and spend more time with our family.
We want to thank all of our clients from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support over the past 94 years!
Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!”

Things won’t be the same on Windsor Street in Halifax and thanks for 94 years serving Halifax and enjoy the next chapter.
