We went for a walk on the Halifax waterfront last night, and discovered the tall ship Mircea, also known as NS Mircea, is in port from Romania.
It was launched on September 23rd,1938, her three masts carry 23 sails.
On board, there’s a crew of 80 to 90 members plus a cadet crew between 120 to 140.
It brought back memories from when the Tall Ships visited Halifax in past years like 2009, 2000, and also back in 1984.
