Roughly 9,000 Nova Scotia Power customers are in the dark in the Clayton Park area.

The utility says on twitter it is affecting Clayton Park, Rockingham the Bedford Highway as well as the surrounding areas.

It was caused by damaged equipment by one of their substations.
