Body Of Missing Swimmer Found In Dartmouth Lake

Tragedy in a local lake, as the body of a missing swimmer was found overnight.

Halifax Regional Police say they were called to Murray Hill Drive in Dartmouth around 7 last night, as witnesses reported a 21-year-old man went underwater and was having trouble swimming in Maynard Lake.

Police and firefighters attempted to find the swimmer.

The RCMP Underwater Dive Team were eventually called in, and recovered the man’s body around 1:30 a.m.

His identity is not being released.
