Carrie Underwood Is the Highest RIAA-Certified Female Country Artist of All Time and Lainey Wilson’s “Cowgirl of the Night”

On Hot Country mornings with Jody & Melody we shared on your Country Catch Up that Carrie Underwood now has more certifications from the RIAA than any female country artist in HISTORY. She sold more than 95 million certified units in the U.S. alone. That includes 22.5 million albums and 72.5 million singles!

Carrie’s biggest song, “Before He Cheats”, is certified 11x Platinum. Here’s what she said, “Accomplishments like this are more than I would have ever dared to dream of when I was starting out, I owe everything to the fans, who have literally voted for me from the beginning of my career and have showed up and given me so much love for over 20 years. I feel truly blessed.”

Check out some of Carrie’s achievements over the past two decades: Eight Grammy Awards, 16 ACM Awards (including three Entertainer of the Year trophies), 17 American Music Awards and seven CMAs!! Every one of Carrie Underwood’s 10 albums has debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard 200!

On the Country Catch Up we asked you if you’ve heard of Lainey Wilson’sCowgirl of the Night“? What is that about? Well, Lainey picks one special young fan and brings her up on stage at her concerts and awards her Cowgirl of the Night. It’s a really cute bit, and the crowd loves it!!

At a recent show, Lainey picked a little girl named Emmy and it was right before her 6th birthday, so now Emmy has the memory of a lifetime!!

Lainey makes the young fan repeat the following phrases: “I am beautiful”…

“I am smart” . . . “I am talented” . . . “I am fearless” . . . “I can do anything” . . . and “I am cowgirl of the night.” Then Lainey rewards them with a cowboy hat!! Little Emmy rocked it, and the crowd went wild. Check it out below!
