A COVID-19 exposure notice issued for the Nova Scotia legislature is drawing ire online.
The warning was sent out over the weekend about a potential exposure at Province House last Thursday and Friday.
The memo has been posted on the Nova Scotia Legislature’s website. Anyone who was there on those dates is encouraged to get tested.
The alert has sparked complaints online with some saying it’s a “double standard” as the province no longer issues alerts for public spaces or schools.

The Nova Scotia Liberal Party has also taken to Twitter to criticize the move. Opposition leader Iain Rankin says politicians should not be treated differently.
“The Houston government is operating under a double standard when it comes to their pandemic response,” Rankin says on Twitter. “If the rest of Nova Scotians are expected to live with COVID-19, we as politicians cannot expect to be treated any differently.”
Province House remains closed to the public on Monday due to the exposure.
