Crews prepare for second day battling wildfire near Upper Musquodoboit

Crews are on the ground for a second day as they continue to battle a forest fire covering about 65 hectares in Halifax County.

The fire started near Upper Musquodoboit on Friday as bone dry conditions are being seen in the woods right across the province.

It’s considered under control in the latest update.

However, fire officials are stressing outdoor activities like camp fires or fireworks are not allowed right now because it is so dry.

A water bomber that was fighting a fire in southwestern Nova Scotia is now helping the Halifax area fire.
