Fill a Backpack, Fuel a Future!

Back to school donation drive returns to Bayers Lake.

Back-to-school season is right around the corner, and there’s a fun way to help local families get ready for the year ahead! The Salvation Army’s Back to School Donation Drive is taking over the Canadian Tire Bayers Lake parking lot on Saturday, August 15 from 10-3.

The event is all about bringing the community together while collecting school supplies and donations for local families. Stop by throughout the day for a free BBQ, snacks and prizes, lawn games, a fire truck and plenty of family-friendly fun.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a new school supply item or make a donation to help students head into the new school year with the supplies they need. As an added bonus, anyone who donates will also receive an extra prize entry.

Whether you’re dropping off a few school supplies, grabbing some food or sticking around for the activities, it’s an easy way to spend part of your Saturday while supporting a great cause in the community.

When: Saturday, August 15 from 10-3.
Where: Canadian Tire Bayers Lake, 194 Chain Lake Drive

Grab some school supplies and stop by for a fun-filled day that helps local kids start the school year off right!
