The investigation continues into the cause of a house fire that claimed the lives of a woman and three children over the weekend.
The blaze destroyed a home in Auburndale on the South Shore early Saturday morning.
The remains of a 33-year-old woman, an 11-year-old, a 9-year-old, and an 8-year-old were found inside the home.
A 36-year-old man and a 4-year-old child escaped.
The Mounties do not believe the fire to be suspicious based on the evidence gathered.
The Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office is continuing the investigation.
A community in mourning
Meantime, grief counsellors will be at two schools in the community as students and staff grapple with news of the fire.
Jennifer McMullen, the principal of Bluenose Academy in Lunenburg, identified the woman, Kaylea Savory, as a teaching assistant at the school.
McMullen also named two of the children, Harley Savory in grade six and Hendrix Savory in grade three.

The third child was a grade four student at Greenfield Elementary.
Officials encourage parents to speak with their kids about the tragedy before sending them to school.
The grief counsellors will be at the school for as long as they’re needed. Parents are encouraged to reach out to the school if they need additional support or resources.
