Bo Bichette is now a New York Met

Well it’s not the news us Jays fans wanted to hear, Bo Bichette has signed $126-million three-year deal with New York Mets. The two-time All-Star at shortstop with the Toronto Blue Jays will move to third base with the Mets, who already have Francisco Lindor at shortstop. Bichette has never played a professional game at third. He turned down a US$22,025,000 qualifying offer from the Blue Jays in November.   Bichette batted .311 with 18 home runs, 94 RBIs and an .840 OPS in 139 games for the Blue Jays last year and homered off Shohei Ohtani in Game 7 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bye bye Bo, thanks for the Jays memories. -Ian (Credits: Ian Robinson photos.)
