There is a new free online tool to give Nova Scotian’s peace of mind as they plan for the future.
The provincial government has provided $135,000 in funding for a power of attorney app.
Developed with the Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia, it allows you to create a legal document that you can then print and sign, have witnessed, and give to those who need a copy.
This is the seventh free app available through the society.
In a statement, Attorney General and Minister of Justice Becky Druhan says, “The legal landscape is changing, and we are working to ensure Nova Scotians have access to the tools and resources they need. By leveraging technology, we are making it easier for people to navigate the justice system and make informed decisions about their future.”
