Grab your umbrella, Halifax to get soaked by remains of Hurricane Ida

You’ll want to grab an umbrella on your way out the door as the province will get a good soaking from the remains of Hurricane Ida.

Environment Canada is out with a rainfall warning for all of Nova Scotia with 40-60 mm expected, starting Thursday morning.

Some areas could see 100 mm. There’s also a thundershower risk.

Halifax could get up to 30 mm on Thursday, and the wet weather will be accompanied by strong winds.

Another 15-25 mm is expected overnight. Things should clear up by Friday morning.
