You can now get your green cart emptied every week until the fall.
Weekly collection started Monday.
The city says Regional Council approved a slightly shorter collection period this year under the 2025/26 budget.
To help ensure pickup, have it at the cub at 7 a.m., on your collection day.
A few tips to keep it clean and odour-free:
· Wrap wet food waste in boxboard or newspaper
· Use paper liners in your mini-bin and green cart
· Empty your mini-bin daily
· Place your cart at the curb even if it’s not full
· Freeze food scraps until collection day
· Store your cart in a shaded, well-ventilated area
Weekly collection ends September 12, when the bi-weekly rotation resumes.
