Halifax parking ban begins next week

Starting next week, you will have to be careful where you park during snowy weather.

The winter parking ban period for the Halifax area begins Monday and goes until March 31.

You can still park your car overnight when the weather is fine.

But if there is snowy weather, the city will declare the parking ban from 1 to 6 in the morning to let plows clear the roads. They will send out an alert and post on their website if the ban is active.

If your car is on the road at that time, you could be ticketed or towed.

Stay tuned here and on our website for the latest updates.
