HRM selling naming rights for commons pool

The city wants to name the new pool facility at the Halifax commons, for the right price.

HRM says they are looking for a partner to fund it, in exchange for naming rights.

It can hold 350 at a time for the 60 free public swims every week during the summer months.

There is also a multi-purpose room, kitchenette and program space for events all year.

Over 150,000 are expected to use the facility this summer.

It will open June 15 to September 15.

The Request for Expressions of Interest is available on the municipality’s bids&tenders website.
