Man, 18, arrested after Dartmouth shooting

An 18-year-old man is facing more than half a dozen firearms charges after a shooting in Dartmouth.

Police say it was around 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, when officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the area of Lahey Road and Clarence Street.

A handgun, believed to have been used in the shooting was seized by police and a suspect was arrested nearby.

There were no reported injuries.

The suspect will appear in court at a later date.
