A 79-year-old man is charged for threatening police when barricading himself inside a home on Highway 7.
RCMP say it happened Monday afternoon just before 2 p.m. on the 15000 block in Tangier.
The man was making weapons threats.
Officers closed down Highway 7 and told residents to stay home and lock their doors.
A few hours later the man came out of the house and was arrested.
He was in court, Tuesday.
