Man charged after pedestrian hit in Halifax

An elderly man was charged after he hit someone with his vehicle in Halifax.

It happened Sunday night at the intersection of South and Henry streets.

A 20-year old pedestrian was walking in a marked crosswalk when they were struck.

The pedestrian was treated for non-life threatening injuries in hospital.

The 73-year old driver was given a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
