A man is in custody after barricading himself in a home near Highway 7.
RCMP say it was Monday around 4 p.m., when residents were asked to stay home and lock their doors.
Highway 7 near 15785 in Tangier was closed and the public was asked to avoid the area.
At 5:50 p.m., the man was taken into custody, while officers remained on scene.
