Man in custody after late night stabbing in downtown Halifax

A man is in custody after a stabbing in downtown Halifax Saturday.

At 10:47 p.m. officers responded to a weapons call on the 1000-2000 block of Brunswick Street, and found a 24-year-old man had been stabbed.

The man was sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 26-year-old man nearby.

Charges from the stabbing are pending.

Police say an investigation is ongoing, but they are not looking for other suspects.
