Man suffers gunshot wounds in Halifax

One man has been shot in a homeless area.

Halifax Regional Police say they are investigating after finding the shot victim on Sunday morning at around 9:55 a.m.

It happened at Lower Flynn Park which is an HRM designated location for people experiencing homelessness who shelter outside.

The 30-year-old man who was shot was transported to hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Police do not believe that the shooting was random.

The investigation continues.
