The mandatory water restrictions for those whose water supply is Lake Major, is over.
Halifax Water says recent rainfall has replenished, increasing the supply by 70 cm.
Effective Wednesday, the utility says, users are asked to voluntarily conserve water.
Pockwock Lake also remains under a voluntary conservation order.
Lake Major Returns to Voluntary Restrictions
Due to the recent precipitation, Halifax Water’s source water supply has started to replenish and recover. As a result, Lake Major’s levels have increased by 70cm.
