The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic will be closed over the weekend.
The Halifax tourist attraction says on social media, it has damage to its main entrance after a fire.
The good news is, the popular parrot, Merlin the Macaw is safe and being cared for, but their Rope Wreath workshops will be rescheduled.
No word on what started the fire.
The museum is scheduled to reopen Tuesday.
