Both sides back at table as MSVU strike enters third week

As The Mount enters its third week of strike action, The Mount Saint Vincent Faculty Association and Board of Governors are back at the table, with the support of a conciliator.

The Faculty Association says they are ready to negotiate and strike a fair deal, while some major issues that still need to be ironed out include workload, leaves and compensation.

President of the Faculty Association, Dr. Susan Brigham says she knows many members of the Board are committed to the Mount and their ‘values as a feminist University.’

She adds that she hopes the Board will encourage their bargaining team to continue negotiations that ‘consider our shared efforts to end this strike.’

More than 160 remain on the picket lines.
