Some possible competition for Uber and taxi drivers.
A new ridesharing service has arrived in Halifax, called Lyft.
The company says they now serve more than 20 of Canada’s top cities from British Columbia to the Atlantic Provinces.
Earlier this month, Halifax Council discussed changes in the industry to create a more even playing field, allowing taxis to set their own fares, and the same licensing requirements for all drivers.
A final decision on that will be made at a later date.
