No charges after woman struck dead by Transit bus on Spring Garden and South Park

No charges will be laid after a 24-year-old woman died when she was hit by a Halifax Transit bus in downtown Halifax.

It happened just before 7 a.m., October 31, on the corner of Spring Garden Road and South Park Street.

The woman was trying to catch that particular bus, when she was hit by it, then died at the scene.

Halifax Police say they have concluded their investigation and there will be no charges laid, and no summary offence tickets issued.

Police say their thoughts are with the woman’s family and everyone who was affected by the tragic accident.
