No more rapid test kits available at Halifax Public Libraries

You will no longer be able to grab a rapid test kit when you head to the library to loan out a book.

Halifax Public Libraries says all of their branches are out of the Take-Home COVID-19 rapid testing kits.

Since December 13th, they managed to give out 27,480 kits, which is the equivalent of 137,400 tests.

A statement says their role as pick-up locations has been put on pause and they will no longer be restocking the tests.

Branches will remain available as future pick-up locations, as needed, and will let you know if and when they have the ability to distribute more.

If you’re in need of a test kit, you can check out the province’s rapid testing information page.
