The luck of the Irish was not with a beloved annual celebration in the Halifax Regional Municipality for 2025.
This year’s Halifax St. Patrick’s Day parade has been called off.
Its cancellation was announced on social media last week.
One of the organizers, Sue Uteck, said they had to move the route and did not get approval in the timeframe needed.
The city’s biggest Irish event of the year marked its 17th anniversary in 2024.
It’s expected to return next year.
