Nova Scotia Health looks for OD site operator

Nova Scotia Health is launching a request for proposals process for overdose prevention sites.

It begins with an open invitation for letters of intent from those interested in running a site, and an invited final proposal.

The sites provide equipment and a safe and caring space for people to use drugs, respond to overdoses, and connect people to important health and social services.

A total of $500,000 will be available to support sites in Halifax and Cape Breton.
