A Nova Scotia teenager has been charged with attempted murder for the second time in less than two months.
On May 12, a man was stabbed at the East Coast Amusements fair at 219 Main Street in Dartmouth. Halifax Regional Police responded to the scene and found an 18-year-old man who had sustained what they believed to be life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital immediately.
The next day, the suspect, a 15-year-old boy, turned himself in to HRP at their headquarters on Gottingen Street.
He is facing the following charges and will appear in youth court at a later date:
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
In March, a similar incident occurred when a student at CPA High School stabbed staff members and injured himself. He is also facing attempted murder charges.
