Parking ban enforced for HRM Monday night

You will have to find somewhere other than the street to park again, Monday night.

The city says the parking ban is once again in effect from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday.

“Officers will be ticketing vehicles obstructing sidewalk clearing,” says the city in a news release. “Vehicles hanging out of a driveway or parked on the sidewalk are prone to damage and become a dangerous obstacle for crews.”

HRM says those objects prevent crews from properly clearing the snow from sidewalks, which can become an accessibility issue.

The ban comes after another snowstorm hit the province, Sunday night.
