Police investigate sexual assault at Halifax bus terminal

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault at a bus stop in the city on Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to the transit terminal on Mumford Road at around 3:30 p.m.

They say a woman was waiting there when a man came up to her and “touched her in a sexual manner.”

The woman left the area, and the man was last seen at the bus stop.

He’s described as having short black and gray hair, a light moustache, and facial hair. At the time, he was wearing a dark-coloured jacket, a grey shirt with a maroon hood, jeans, and work boots.

Police are asking anyone with information or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.

Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers.
