Police nab driver doing 138 km/h in 80 zone

You might want to slow down on Highway 111.

Police have charged another person for stunting after they spotted a car going 138 km/h near Main Street in Dartmouth.

The speed limit in 80 in the area and officers have pulled several people over on that road lately for driving too fast.

A 23-year-old man was ticketed for stunting. It’s a charge that is automatically laid when a vehicle is travelling more than 50 km/h over the speed limit. In addition, the man was suspended from driving for seven days and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

The fine ifor stunting is $2,422.50 and six points are assigned to the driver’s record.
