UPT: Suspicious death victim identified, ruled murder

UPT: 10:45 p.m. Sunday.

Police have named the victim of a suspicious death in Dartmouth, now considered a murder.

Alexander Joseph Frederick Thomas, 35 from East Preston, died in a Braeside Court Saturday.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy overnight and determined the death was a murder.

Police are still on the scene Sunday morning.

Officers are on the scene of a suspicious death on Braeside Court in Dartmouth.

Police say the were called at 1:47 a.m. Saturday to an unresponsive man in a home on the street.

Officers found the man dead when they arrived.

An investigation is ongoing.
