Police: Woman shot by 3-D printed firearm

Police say a woman has been wounded after being shot with a 3-D printed firearm in East Preston.

She called 911 at around 10 p.m. on Sunday to report the incident at a property on Highway 7.

The Mounties say paramedics took the 20-year-old from Cole Harbour to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Five people were detained and later released without charges.

Police are still investigating and believe the weapon was unintentionally fired off.
