UPDATE: Power restored after an outage for nearly 5,000 Nova Scotia Power customers in Dartmouth

Nearly 5,000 Nova Scotia Power customers are in the dark in Shearwater.

It’s affecting Woodside, Eastern Passage, CFB Shearwater and the surrounding areas.

The utility says the lights are estimated to come back on by 11:30am.

The cause of the outage is currently under investigation.
