RCMP investigating gunshots in North Preston

The RCMP and Halifax Regional Police Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is seeking information in relation to shots fired in North Preston.

According to a social media post, officers responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Clarence Street and Johnson Road involving two vehicles at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Officers learned the occupants of the vehicles were shooting at each other.

No injuries have been reported but police said it’s likely the vehicles involved were damaged.

An investigation is underway, led by the General Investigative Section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with assistance from the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.

The RCMP has asked anyone who may have information about the incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
