Scots Lake Road residents in Musquodoboit Harbour are being warned about lots of police in the area as they investigate a report of a stolen vehicle.
As of around 11:50 on Wednesday, Cpl. Mandy Edwards says RCMP is searching for a bearded man wearing a red shirt and a cowboy hat who ran off into the woods.
According to Edwards, the investigation is ongoing.
Officers are asking anyone in the area to be on the lookout for suspicious activity, and to avoid the area so that officers can do their job.
RCMP notes that there is “no imminent risk” to public safety right now.
