RCMP say residents can return home and Canterbury Lane open in Fall River

RCMP say responding officers have determined there is no threat and it’s safe for neighbours who were evacuated in Fall River to return to their homes.

Canterbury Lane has reopened.

Just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday, RCMP posted on X that officers were responding to a threat at a residence.

According to the RCMP’s noon update Sunday, officers evacuated the immediate neighbours as a precaution and closed Canterbury Lane.

Police said no one was inside the home and the threat had not been substantiated.

They advised people to avoid the area to allow officers and first responders to do their work.

At 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, the Mounties issued a final update saying there is no threat and those evacuated could return home.
