‘Santas’ bringing joy to Cole Harbour neighbourhood

Santas are invading a section of Cole Harbour.

The Colby ‘North’ Santa Brigade is meant to spread holiday cheer through the neighbourhood.

Inflatable, light-up giant Santas are displayed on over 100 front lawns.

Event creator Megan Cole says they got the idea from a similar display in Toronto.

“All of a sudden, they were popping up everywhere. We started with 20 or 30, and now it’s grown to 127. It’s been amazing,” says Cole.

She says they’ve also collected funds for Feed Nova Scotia.

“We’ve raised just over $5,000 already, which is great. Attaching that onto this time of year, everybody wants to give back. It’s been a huge success already.”

If you want to see the Santas, you can go each weekday after 5 p.m or weekend after 12 noon.
