Senior threatens man with gun in Upper Tantallon

RCMP say a senior has been charged with assault and other offences after a man was threatened with a gun in Upper Tantallon.

Police received a report of an argument at a home on St. Margaret’s Bay Road on Sunday.

The Mounties say the incident involved four people, and a 75-year-old took out the gun and threatened a man. No one was hurt.

RCMP searched a home on Wednesday and seized three firearms and a replica. They arrested the man at the scene without incident.

He’s facing two counts of assault, pointing a firearm, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and three counts of unsafe storage of a firearm.

The individual has since been released on conditions with an appearance in Halifax Provincial Court on November 1st at 9:30 a.m.
