Slippery roads reported throughout Halifax area

A light sprinkling of snow in the city might have an impact on your drive Wednesday morning.

Reports to our newsroom say some roads are slick with black ice including Highway 103 and Highway 101.

Other trouble spots include Dunbrack Street, Prospect Road, and St. Margaret’s Bay Road in the Timberlea area.

Several crashes and delays are being reported in the municipality.

Google Maps show slowdowns throughout the city on Wednesday morning.

Halifax is expected to get about 2 cm before things taper off this afternoon and the temperature is hovering around zero.
