Crews getting lights back on after storm slams Halifax

Halifax is getting hit with another disruptive storm.

The wind and rain warnings have ended in the city but a flash freeze warning remains in place.

Power Outages

Nova Scotia Power is reporting nearly 7,000 customers are without power.

Storm lead Sean Borden says teams are in position across the province, so they are ready to respond as quickly and safely as possible.

It’s nothing new for crews, as this is our seventh storm in seven weeks.

Borden says customers should always have an emergency kit on hand with flashlights, a battery powered radio and fresh water in case of an extended outage.
