The 38th IWK Telethon Was A Record Breaker!

The IWK Telethon was held on the weekend and it was a record number raising $6,733,024.50!

Thanks to the generous donors, the money will go to help buy the latest equipment to help the hospital continue to be a leader in patient care in North America.

Saturday night from 7 to 9pm featured a special tribute to the Nova Scotia Health Care workers who have gone above and beyond the last couple of years during the pandemic.

Yesterday the main telethon ran on CTV from 10am to 6pm showing patient stories from around Atlantic Canada and raising funds.

My wife Roxanne was one of the shows producers, here she is on the set doing her TV Producer thing:

Both our boys Drake and Trent were born at the IWK and had major tune ups as babies, one with hydronephrosis, kidney swelling, and the other a Wilms’ tumour, children’s kidney cancer.

They are now both healthy young men thanks to the IWK.

Thank you IWK and to the gracious donors making this the biggest number raised yet $6,733,024.50!!
