The Guess Who returned to Halifax for the first time since 2000 last night when they played at the Scotiabank Centre.
The Canadian music icons started out in 1965 and still sound great!
Burton Cummings is 78 and Randy Bachman is 82 now.
Burton said he found a clipping in his scrapbook from their visit to Halifax in 1968!

Their set featured their classics like:
Undun
Albert Flasher
Guns, Guns, Guns
Clap For The Wolfman
Laughing
These Eyes
Burton told Halifax he wrote These Eyes at age 17 while still living at home with his mom.

They also did songs from their solo careers including:
My Own Way To Rock
Let Ride
You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet
American Woman
No Time
The encore included Share the Land and the BTO classic Takin’ Care of Business, the last song of the evening around 10:30 with over 8,000 Halifax backup singers.
They played for an hour at forty-five minutes!
Eagles legend Don Felder, who’s also 78, was the opener, so we heard lots of Eagles classics like Already Gone, Heartache Tonight, and Hotel California the last song of his set.

I read his book “My Life in the Eagles 1974-2001: Heaven and Hell” which is a front seat to the feuding in the band back in the day.

Thanks for coming to Halifax, fellas!
