A Halifax Thunderbirds player has been suspended seven games by the National Lacrosse League.
Tyson Bell was involved in an altercation with fans in Colorado after the Thunderbirds’ game against the Mammoth in December.
In a statement, league commissioner Brett Frood says Bell’s actions were inexcusible and players should always demonstrate professionalism and self-discipline.
The 30-year-old was also cited for assault, and is due in court on January 22 in Denver.
