Alderney ferry to remain out of service until end of January

A Halifax ferry that runs out of Alderney Landing is expected to remain out of service until the end of the month.

HRM says the Vincent Coleman vessel experienced a steering system failure last week and now need parts from Europe to be repaired.

In addition to that, a Halifax Transit ferry, Craig Blake, is undergoing a scheduled inspection and repairs and will not be in service until later this year.

On Monday, January 12, service from the Alderney changed to every half hour instead of every 15 minutes on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.

Head to this link for more information on service.
