Teen taken to hospital after Halifax stabbing

A 29-year-old has been charged after a stabbing in Halifax that sent a teen to hospital.

Around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Halifax Regional Police responded to a call of an injured man on the 5000 block of Cunard Street.

Police arrived to find an 18-year-old man who’d been stabbed; the young man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Meantime, the suspect fled on foot, but was arrested without incident around 5 p.m.

Daniel Angus Ryan will appear in court on charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public

The pair knew each other, police say.
